Simone Andrian Wins WSOPE Main Event and €1.3 Million at King's

Italy’s Simone Andrian clinches his second WSOP bracelet in a thrilling finish at King’s Resort Rozvadov.

The 2024 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event at King’s Resort Rozvadov concluded with Italy’s Simone Andrian taking the title and a €1,300,000 prize. Facing a field of 768 entrants in the €10,350 buy-in event, Andrian showcased exceptional skill to secure his second WSOP bracelet.

Journey to Victory

Starting the final day as the chip leader among six players, Andrian faced tough competition from Estonia’s Urmo Velvelt and Israel’s Ran Ilani. Early eliminations included Italy’s Enrico Camosci in sixth place. Andrian maintained focus as the dynamics shifted, leading to a gripping heads-up duel with Velvelt.

The Decisive Moment

The heads-up battle lasted over three hours with multiple lead changes. The turning point came when Velvelt moved all-in with Ace-Ten, and Andrian called with Pocket Tens. The board didn’t improve Velvelt’s hand, sealing Andrian’s victory.

“It’s amazing. By far the biggest score of my career,” Andrian said. “Winning here at King’s Resort feels special.”
